Evans, Bill

1929 —

Evans, Bill was born August 16, 1929, in Plainfield, New Jersey. He was one of the great pianists of Modern Jazz, and performed on Miles Davis' seminal quintet recordings of the mid 1950s. His most influential work was done in the trio setting beginning in the early 1960s. As well as a great improvisor, he was an accomplished composer.
